MECAP Add-on
SMEDCO expands COVID emergency business supports through MECAP Add-on! SMEDCO’s continued lobbying for Métis businesses results in expanded relief funds available through the Metis Emergency Capital Assistance Program (MECAP)!!! We have successfully negotiated with Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) that the CEBA+ extension will be offered to SaskMétis Economic Development Corporation (SMEDCO) existing and new clients. SMEDCO clients that have already tapped into the initial MECAP measure can receive up to an additional $20,000 of which $10,000 is repayable and $10,000 is non-repayable. This brings the total MECAP supports up to $60,000 for eligible Métis businesses of which $20,000 is non-repayable. New clients can access these funds as well.
